About Us

Storytelling and craft for preschool aged children. Held in all libraries in the ACT (except Civic library) during school terms.

Story time is a session full of stories, rhymes and songs suitable for 3-5 year old children and their parents/carers.

Story time helps develop:

  • A love of books and lifelong use of libraries
  • Pre-reading skills and a desire to learn to read
  • Listening and language skills
  • Cooperative behaviour as part of a group
  • Understanding of simple concepts
  • Imagination and creativity

Story time is held at 10.30 am during school terms, and runs for approximately thirty minutes.
