Seniors Clubs & Social Groups
We value the wisdom, experience and gifts of the senior people in our community, and we offer many avenues of support and social engagement.
We offer, partnership with the YMCA, exercise classes throughout the week, ranging from very active to fall-prevention and mobility classes.
Each Friday, starting at 2pm, we have a craft group that meets in the foyer to chat and work on whatever is their latest piece of creativity.
On the first Monday of each month, our “OFF” (Over Fifties Fellowship) meets, starting at 2pm. It may be for a movie, a guest speaker, games or a trivia quiz.
On the third Monday of each month, we hold a traditional communion service, starting at 11am, followed by a lunch and then some form of activity – again maybe a guest speaker or a trip to a local attractions.
Seniors are also a very important part of the volunteering life at Kippax, participating in services, helping out with playgroups and Holiday Happenings, catering for various events, maintaining the church grounds and the community garden, and a wide variety of other activities.
