General Ageing Services
Seniors/Aged Care/Older People
Just Better Care specialise in the provision of high quality, individualised support options for older people. Our approach aims to maximise older people’s independence, comfort and optimism for living the life they choose.
We recognise, that despite many of the physical changes that may take place as people age, opportunities to support individuals to continue to live as independently as they choose, is of significant importance to many older people.
Whether it’s continuing to participate in activities you have always enjoyed, being supported to remain living safely and confidently in your own home, or embarking on new challenges or interests, at Just Better Care we are here to make your goals and needs our priority.
Our staff are trained and supported to work with you to identify what it is you want to get out of working with us. We know the communities we work within, and pride ourselves on being able to identify both formal and informal resources to make your desires your reality.
What we do
Just Better Care, Your Way
We specialise in the development of tailored support options to meet your individual needs. Often, older people and their families have specific needs and desires that are best met when you have complete control over what, how and when support is provided.
It can be daunting when the things you have always done start to get a bit harder to manage. But assisting you to get the support you need, identifying your strengths and capacities, and working with you to identify opportunities for you to continue doing what you love, is why we’re here.
Help at home
Sometimes knowing that you have someone there to take care of some of the household chores, is all you need to feel confident and in control. Maybe it’s walking the dog, or cleaning the house. Maybe you need assistance with the lawns, getting some shopping done, bills paid, or doing the laundry. Maybe you just want to know, that every week, someone will be there to help you with whatever you need. Just Better Care can tailor support to meet these needs.
Care and companionship
We often find that as people age, their social circles change, and family members or friends are not as available as they have always been. At Just Better Care we know that being able to share a cuppa, get out of the house for a few hours, or connect with people who share common interests, is the key to living well. Whether you want to plan activities, or just to know that someone you enjoy spending time with will be there at specified times, JBC can tailor support to meet these needs.
Getting out and about
Just because your body may not work as it used to doesn’t mean there isn’t fun to be had! Supporting you to engage in activities you love, and identifying ways to maintain your chosen levels of independence is what we do best. Fancy a trip to the nursery and an afternoon of gardening? Care to take in a movie or play? Enjoy playing cards or arts and crafts? Want to get out in nature? The sky’s the limit- if you can dream it, we can help you make it happen.
As local providers, we are able to build networks of people who share common interests. Assisting you to do the things you love, is why we’re here.
Unfortunately sometimes, we do need a bit more help to live well at home. At JBC we specialise in higher levels of support for people who may have very complex needs. This includes support of people with memory loss or dementia, high care services including personal care, nursing care or palliative care, and/or other specialised services such as continence management or chronic disease management.
Our highly skilled and qualified staff know how important it is for all people, to live with dignity, despite complex care needs. At JBC we can provide high level care with a focus on dignity and choice to enable older people to live as well as possible in their own homes.
We specialise in tailoring support to your specific needs.

What can be done to help?
While there is currently no prevention or cure for dementia, medications have been found to reduce some of the symptoms.
Early diagnosis can be very helpful in relieving the stress and confusion about what is happening for the person with dementia, their family and friends.
Dementia support is vital for people with dementia, and the help of families, friends and carers can make a positive difference in managing the condition.
How can Just Better Care help?
Just Better Care can offer “practical help” with a wide range of services delivered by workers trained in dementia support. The help may include social support and respite which can all make a positive difference to the individual and their carer.
A small amount of practical help can really make a big difference to how the family and person with the condition will be able to manage and cope.
Just Better Care has skilled and trained staff that have the experience and skills to provide real dementia support when it is needed.
