Youth Housing Support Service – Specialist Homelessness Service

The Youth Housing Support Service is an Outreach Program that provides support to young people in the Canberra region who are aged 15-25 years, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The Programs provides Case Management support to address identified goals and barriers to finding safe stable and sustainable housing, including information, referral advocacy and linkages to various health and welfare services.  The Program is funded by the Community Services Directorate of the ACT.

  • Case management, including planning goals, providing you with support, information and advocacy in assisting you to achieve your goals

  • An outreach service. This means we come to you, wherever you are most at ease

  • Support to gain and transition into and/or sustain tenancies in public, community or private accommodation. Including filling in forms, gathering documentation, providing practical and material assistance

  • Help with living skills including budgeting, health, nutrition and personal care

  • Assistance in the development of social networks and giving you information about community events
